He was predeceased by: his brothers, Thomas A. Meads, Willie R. Meads and Henry Meads, Jr.. He is survived by: his brother Jordan D. Meads (Geraldine) of Nicholasville; and his sister-in-law Oreda Meads. He is also survived by four sons, three daughters; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
