He was predeceased by: his parents, David E. Buffin and Barbara Ingram Buffin. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Crace Buffin; his children, Whitney, Paige Buffin, Lexington, Richard "Bubby" Caudill, Nicholasville, Kendra McKay Frye and Berea; his grandchild Jace Oliver Frye; and his siblings, Donna Meza, Anita Duncan, Mary Gill, David E. Buffin, Jr. and Jerry Wayne Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
