With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Heafey Howard (Nicholasville, Kentucky), who passed away on July 9, 2018 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his spouse Ann Allender; and his children, Noreen Flora and John H. Howard Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Liz Doyle, Katie Banks (Glen), Maggie Walsh (Charles), Bill Howard (Maria) and Tom Howard.

Former co-owner of Howard and Heafey Florist, John was known to say that he wanted the following statement in his obituary: "In lieu of donations to your favorite charity, please send flowers to someone you love." Please tell them it's in honor of a man who loved to share laughter.
