She was predeceased by: her parents, John Burdette Sr. and Josie Bell Merritt; her siblings, James Burdette, Andrew Burdette, Clinton Burdette, Milly May Dunn Burdette, Fannie Burdette, Samuel Briscoe Burdette, Johnetta Burdettte, Martha Washinton Burdette and John Burdette, Jr.; and her husband Jerry D. Sanders.
She is survived by: her sibling's children, John Thomas Burdette (Joanna), Joe Allen Turner (Vandaline), Vanessa Turner, Melissa Turner, Turner Pickens, Moriah Pickens (Turner), Anthony Burdette (Charisse), Michael Burdette (Maline) and David Burdette; her cousins, Cabell Merritt (Martha), Janice Blythe, Pauline Williams, Anna Pearl Mack, Delma Merritt and Cynthia Ballard (Otis); and her niece Ramona Thompson (James). She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
