She was predeceased by : her parents, George Elmer Roe and Hazel Cope Roe; her grandmother Nan; her husband Elgin "Buck" Smith; her daughter Kim Smith; and her siblings, Georgia Lee Willoughby, Nellie Maye Brierley and James Harlan Roe.

She is survived by : her children, Todd Smith and Ashlea Hutchison (Jason) of Bethel; her grandchildren, Caleb Crouch and Carlea Shaye Leach (Ryan); and her siblings, Wayne Roe, Doris Ann Cannon of Carlisle, Mary Ellen Roe of Paris and Sue Earlywine of Paris. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
