He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Croom and Laura Horton Tharpe; his stepfather Robert Tharpe; and his brothers, Robert Croom and Jackie Tharpe.
He is survived by: his children, Dexter Lander (Kyra) of Lexington, KY, Tony Piper, Terrance Flemings (Aubrey Whitfield), Both of Louisville, KY and Mioshi "Missy" Hill of Paducah, KY; his close friend Gilda Kohlheim of Paducah, KY; and his siblings, William Tharpe (Merlyn), Hattie Kendall and Thomas Earl Tharpe. He is also survived by Nine Grandchildren.
The funeral home staff urges all who call at the facility to continue to abide by the state Covid-19 restrictions and maintain the social distance of six feet at all times.
