He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Frank Charles Bertrand, Clarence "Mac" and Blanche A. McDaniel; his mother-in-law Mildred E. Cozart; and his brother-in-law Willie E. LaGore.

He is survived by : his wife Stacy Bertrand; his parents, Dennis Bertrand and Christine Bertrand; his children, Alexander Bertrand, Matthew Bertrand and Cidney Bertrand; his siblings, Charles Bertrand and Heather Brasfield; his grandmother Martha Bertrand; his father-in-law James Cozart; his cousins, Darren and Christy Crim; and his close friends, James and Kim Eddington. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
