He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Hunt Layne; his children, LaGenia A. Layne of Pikeville and Matt E. Layne (Sarah) of Jeffersonville, Indiana.; his daughter-in-law Sandra Brown Layne; his granddaughters, Genie Ann Layne and Madison Grace Layne; his great grandchildren, Elijah and Jarmar Layne; and his great great grandchild Ashton Osbourne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
