It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roma Lou McClanahan (Pikeville, Kentucky), born in Amba, Kentucky, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Rutherford Burchard Clark and Nora Annice Clark; her significant other Thelmer; her siblings, Orville (Kathleen), Cecil (Glo), Carmel (Marie) of Vernon, R. B., Edford (Mary), Bernard (Peggy) and Lora Jean Stratton (Windell); her sons-in-law, John Phillips, Todd Brewer and Carson Funk; and her grandson Ben Brewer.

She is survived by : her daughters, Marcia Cassady (Ballard) of Louisville, Jean Phillips of Lexington and Sandra Holley (Patrick) of Lexington; her grandchildren, Molly Smith (Andrew), Cash Cassady (Cassidy), Jacob Cassady (Jenna), Ellie and Zack Phillips; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Lowen Cassady, Eden, Lael and Sophie Smith; and her sister-in-law Mearl Clark. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Coal Run Church of Christ (149 Church St, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in her memory be made to the University of Pikeville Music Program and mailed to UPIKE Office of Advancement, 147 Sycamore Street, Pikeville, KY 41501.
