He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Chitwood and Nannie Florence Chitwood (Meadors); his son Randall Ray "Randy" Chitwood; his daughter-in-law Belinda Jayne Chitwood (Waters); his siblings, J. C. Chitwood, Reba Strunk and Goldie Mae Edwards; and his granddaughter Randi Elaine Chitwood.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Chitwood (Stephens); his daughters, Rita Kay Watson (Richard) of Somerset and Jana Lynn Ball (Ricky A.) of Pine Knot, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Brian Watson (Morgan), Jacob Watson (Heather), Brooklyne Chitwood, Jonah Broadfoot, Obadiah Broadfoot, Hannah Broadfoot and Bristol Broadfoot; his great grandchildren, Riley King, Cayden Watson, Myla Watson and Amelia Watson; and his close friend Bob Broadfoot.
