He is survived by : his son Henry Lewis King of Campton, Kentucky; his stepsons, James Earl Campbell (Teresa) of Pine Ridge and Michael Kelly Campbell (Daphne McPherson) of Campton, Kentucky; his daughters, Ida Ann Combs of Campton, Kelly Lynn King of Jenkins and Helen Loretta King (Greg Charles) of Pine Ridge, Kentucky; his stepdaughter Mary Jean Campbell of Campton, Kentucky; his sister Loretta "Garnett" Russell (David) of Frankfort, Kentucky; his half-sisters, Dora Shoop of Virginia and Sarah Ritchie of Ohio; and his former life partner Deborah Ann King of Campton, Kentucky.. He is also survived by twenty one grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
