He is survived by: his wife Wanda Halcomb Lawson; his children, Tammy Orick (John Morgan) of McCreary County, KY, Tonia Carroll (James) of Cumberland and Tracy Rutherford (Bobby) of Cumberland; his siblings, Charles Lawson of West Virginia, Diniah Bailey (David) of Jasper, AL and Darlene Monhollen (late John) of Lynch; his son-in-law Brian Orick of Mt. Sterling, KY; his grandchildren, Blayne Rutherford (Morgan), Brendan, Blake Rutherford, Amber Chappell, Aaron Henry (Megan), Amanda Orick, Connor and Jordyn Byrne; his great grandchildren, Tanner, Liam, Oliver Chappell, Tinley and Peyton Henry; his siblings-in-law, Brenda Bowling (Randall) of Partridge, Melissa Byrne (Mike) of Georgetown, KY, Dana Lawson of Daytona Beach, FL, Junior Halcomb of Partridge, Larry Halcomb of Partridge and Cecil Halcomb (Pam) of Partridge; and his close friends, Joe Cox, Jean and Booby. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
