It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jearld Dean Banta (Pleasureville, Kentucky), who passed away on April 9, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Noel Banta (Willie) and Ethel Mae Rucker Banta; his wife Mary Frances Banta; and his siblings, Walter Banta, James Banta, Ira Grafton Banta (Dick), Ralph Banta and Iona LeCompte.
He is survived by : his children, Mike Banta (Susie) of Bagdad, Gary Banta (Vickie) of Pendleton, Scott Banta of La Grange, Judy Fallis of Shelbyville, Phyllis Jamison of Eminence and Sheila Lyons (Todd) of Eminence; his siblings, Lewis Wayne Banta (Fran) of Belmond, Robert Lee Banta (Patricia Ann) of Cropper, Shirley Haydon (Donnie) of Shelbyville and Virginia Sloan (Roy) of Finchville; and his friend Margie Wainscott. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 9 great great-grandchildren.
