He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Morgan and Bessie Edith Hobson (Howell); and his siblings, Opal Ruff, Viola Stewart, Donnie and Burton Hobson.
He is survived by: his wife Mitzi Hobson of Pleasureville; his children, Bill E. Hobson of Lexington, Gregory Hobson (Cindy) of Nicholasville, Sheila Hobson of Lexington, Michelle "Mitzi" Wood (Jefferson) of Charleston, SC, John Derrick Hobson (Theresa) of Lexington, Jennifer Cramer (Mark) of Nicholasville and Andrea Crum (Robert) of Lexington; his stepchildren, Elizabeth "Libby" Adams (Jeff) of Pleasureville, Phil Imel (Velda) of Pleasureville, Jennifer Hayden (Allen) of Shelbyville and Michelle Adams (Steve) of Shelbyville; and his brothers, Ken Hobson of Hamilton, OH, Joe Hobson of Hamilton, OH and Larry Elliott (Paula) of Franklin, OH.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Beckley Funeral Home (5710 Castle Hwy, Pleasureville, KY 40057). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at the Pleasureville Cemetery.
