He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawson Payne and Anita Woodruff Payne; and his siblings, Geneva Cranor, Linda Winters, Priscilla Burns, Tommy Payne and Jimmy Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Wetona Payne; his daughters, Jennifer Coble (Jamie) of Madisonville, KY and Shannon Penrod (Jonathan) of Princeton, KY; his son-in-law Michael Gordon of Wisconsin; his brother Billy Payne (Patsy) of Dawson Springs, KY; his grandchildren, Jeremy Gordon and Jesse Coble; and his great grandchild Logan Gordon.
