He was predeceased by : his parents, Guy Jewell and Alice McAllister Jewell; his wife Nora Hicks Jewell; his siblings, Kenneth Jewell and Linda Sue Goodwin of Trigg County; and his granddaughters, Melissa Drish-Young and Falhon Beers.

He is survived by : his children, Rhonda Bryant (Jeff), Felicia Jackell (Karl), Margaret "Margie" Beitler of Eddyville, Tammy Beers (Freddie) of Tennessee, Kennith Argo (Amy) of Dawson Springs, Joseph Conners of Colorado and Jeff Mann (Kathy) of Bear Creek, AL; and his siblings, Patsy Ann Faughn of Caldwell County, Robert "Bobby" Jewell (Mary) of Caldwell County, Billy Joe Jewell of Princeton, William "Duke" Jewell (Arlene), Earl Jewell (Debbie) of Caldwell County and Leonard Jewell of Trigg County. He is also survived by several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
