He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Lambert and Mattie Lambert; and his sisters, Elaine Woolfolk, Lavinina Darrensburg, Barbara Lambert and Mildred Gilson.

He is survived by: his wife Carmell Lambert; and his children, Alma, Mary, John and James. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.
