It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Smith Garland (Radcliff, Kentucky), born in Barbourville, Kentucky, who passed away on December 14, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Floyd Garland; her parents, Allen Smith and Ellen Lawson Smith; and her sisters, Molly Partin, Goldie Brock, Virgie Broughton, Linda Wagers, Etta Jackson, Hazel Jackson and Della Owens.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Ellen McElroy; and her grandchildren, Travis McMillen (Sarah), Gary McMillen Jr. (Kameron), Christina McGee (Kenny) and Stephanie Jackson. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
