With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Malea Madeline (Hoover) Gardner of Reynolds Station, Kentucky, who passed away on July 2, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Hoover and Ginger Hoover; her sister Tani Eyster; her in-laws, Russell and Opal Gardner; her great-nephew Daniel Badillo; and her brother-in-law Gene Welch.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert Gardner Jr.,; her daughters, Malena DeJarnette (Zach) and Lacey Nantz (John); her grandchildren, Dylan, Abram, Rowen, Beau, Bryar, Mallori, Coy and Memphis; her sister Leilani; her sister-in-law Debbie Welch; her nieces and nephews, Heidi, Maggie, Julie, Connie, Kim, Jason and Allen; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ray, Jeremy, Tani, Doug, Diego, Cassandra, Corey, Cyle and Skylar; and her friends, Shane and Tracy Hemenway and Wayne and Marilyn Hemenway. She also leaves behind her beloved pets Charlie, Calibu and Snoogie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Ohio County, honoring Malea's spirit.
