He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Reed and Mary Spivey Reed; and his siblings, Daniel Reed (Maxie), Edward Reed (Nancy), Gardiner Reed (Minnie) and Jane Barnes (Earl).
He is survived by: his wife Sula Comley; his daughter Janey Reed Masters (Kevin); his grandchildren, Benjamin Tyler Masters (Hannah) and Halle Grace Masters; his brother W. D. Reed; and his nieces and nephews, Donna Reed Grant (Wayne), Brenda Lowery, Edward Earl Barnes (Shirley), Danny Barnes (Angie) and Randall Barnes (Jennifer).
