He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Edwards and Martha Brock Edwards Johnson; his stepfather Jack Johnson; his brother Johnny Edwards; and his half-brothers, Jim Edwards, Lawrence Edwards and Buddy Edwards.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Hayden Edwards; his son Stacy Edwards (Tonya) of Berea; his stepdaughters, Kimberly Hammitt of Richmond and Tina Johnson (Mike) of Elizabethtown; and his grandchildren, Kenton Edwards (Kristyn), Kaleigh Hammitt, Karak Hammitt, Lindsey VanArsdale, Christopher Johnson, Paige Edwards and Jared Blair.
