She was predeceased by: her husband Carter Eldon Howard; her parents, Willie McCreary and Lillie Cruse McCreary; her son Freddy Howard; and her sisters, Virginia King, Maggie Ward and Lillian Reynolds.

She is survived by: her children, Eldon Gene Howard (Teresa) and Peggy Howard Estes (Ray); her grandchildren, Pamela Sherri Estes Yegge (Paul), Terry Noel Estes (Farrah), Daniel Carter Howard, William R. Howard, Elizabeth Hicks (Jesse) and Lynette Moore; and her daughter-in-law Peggy Smith Howard. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and many friends.
