He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Mardon and Dorothy Leinwand Mardon; his stepmother Edith Pekofsky Mardon; his brother William Mardon; his stepbrother Thomas Sheldon Palerino; and his close friend Harry Wing.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Susan Bascom Mardon; his children, David Mardon, Dorothy Mardon, Jon Mardon, Keith Markland and Sarah Mardon; his granddaughters, Miranda Markland and Brittany Markland; and his great grandchild Madeline Markland.
