He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Engle and Rosa Nelson Engle; his son-in-law Don Allen Cotton; and his brothers, Robert Eugene Engle and Lonnie Joe Engle.
He is survived by: his wife Jessie Lea Angel Engle; his daughter Lorraine "Lori" Cotton of Garrard Co; his grandsons, Daniel Lee Cotton of Garrard Co and Charles Casey Cotton (Sarah Whitfield) of Yorktown, Virginia; his great grandchild Evelyn Madison Cotton; and his sisters-in-law, Frances Smallwood, Irene Engle and Ruth Eva Engle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
