It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Arthur of Richmond, Kentucky, who passed away on July 18, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nannette and Buddie B. Farris, Sr.; her son Walter Arthur; and her siblings, Buddie Farris, Jr., Hosea Farris and Esther Farris.
She is survived by: her husband Alva L. Arthur; her sons, Sherman Arthur (Devonda) of Louisville and Michael Arthur (Valerie) of Richmond; her siblings, Ezra Farris, Elsie Marie Pollard (James) of Indianapolis and Angelina Huguely; her sisters-in-law, Sarah Farris and Annie Ruth Farris; and her grandchildren, Brittany Arthur, Keshia Arthur, Brian Arthur, Breonna Arthur and Elijah Arthur. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
