He was predeceased by: his parents, John Campbell and Allie Whitaker Campbell; his daughter Carolyn Campbell; and his siblings, Jessie, Arl, Walter, Bronson Campbell, Mary Campbell and Mollie Pratt.

He is survived by: his wife Dureada Reaves Campbell; his children, Ralph Campbell of Richmond and Sherron Cook (Ralph) of Michigan; his grandson Allen Ralph; and his great grandchild Lilly Carolyn Cook.
