He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Cain and Cordella Bishop Cain; his wife Margaret Watson Cain; and his siblings, Elbert, Miller P., James, Mabel Lee, Minnie, Sylvania, Cynthia Ann and Ella Mae.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Larry Johnson (Linda) of Richmond and Pandora Thomas of Corpus Christie, Texas; his grandsons, Shane Johnson and Clifford Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Colten Johnson and Kayleigh Johnson.
