He was predeceased by: his parents, Alson Pearson and Helen Jane Spivey Pearson; and his siblings, Cloyd, Carl, Earl Pearson, Ella Mae Fletcher, Irene Begley and Nannie Faye Duff.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Faye Smith Pearson; his children, Danny Pearson (Darla) of Richmond and Tina Pearson of Richmond; his grandchildren, Maddy Pearson and Daniel Pearson; and his brothers-in-law, Mitchell Smith and Carl B. Smith (Ruby). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
