He was predeceased by: his parents, Chestel Watkins and Mary Hensley Watkins; his wife Vickie Stanfield Watkins; his daughter Catherine Beatty; and his siblings, Stella Watkins, Jean Jones and Daniel Damer Watkins.
He is survived by: his children, Lorene Mulder (Rick Gentry), Corbin Tonya Hurt (Kenneth Black) and Robert Watkins (Crissy Pollitt); his son-in-law Calvin Beatty; and his sisters, Ines Lindsey, Sadie Watkins of Tennessee and Richmond. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
