He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alonza Godby and Mary Lou Halcomb Godby; his wife Janet Spurlock Godby; his stepdaughter Shirley Ann Reed; and his friends, Allene Coon and Randy Mobley. He was also cherished by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
