John Newton Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Newton (Richmond, Kentucky), who passed away on May 1, 2020 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Newton and Josephine "Sis" Newton. He is survived by: his wife Jean Newton; his son Kevin (Becky); his grandchildren, Abby and Josh Newton; his stepchildren, Vickie Cain (Bryan) and Ricky Roe (Peggy); his stepgrandchildren, Miranda Russell (Shannon), Brooke Murphy (Nick) and Ashley Powell (Lee); and his stepdaughter Crystal Scott (Josh). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Science Hill Cemetery with Brother Mark Sarver officiating.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
