He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Floyd and Mary Williams Hyder; and his sister Rebecca Strange. He is survived by: his close friend Donna King; his brother Lawrence Hyder of Richmond; his son Donald Hines; and his grandchildren, Raquel, Isabel and Eric Hines. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
