She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Powell and Minnie Cain Powell; her close friend Frankie Carpenter; her stepdaughter Betty Sparks; her stepgrandchildren, Candy Carpenter, Cash Carpenter and Jenny Richardson; and her nephew Randy Powell.
She is survived by: her siblings, Ricky Powell (Loretta), Randall Powell (Bertha), Ray Powell and Charlotte Elam (Gary); her sons, Anthony Hicks and Frank Napier; her stepchildren, Jay Carpenter (Tammy Smith), Rickey Carpenter (Wendy Roe), Jason Carpenter (Diane Collier), Bonnie Beatty (Clay) and Haroldlena McCollum; her stepgrandchildren, Brittany Vaughn (Jason), Taylor Carpenter, Frankie Roe (Beth), Tommy Roe, Dalton Jason Carpenter, Alma Reeves (James), Raymond Hicks, Zachary McCollum, Alasha McCollum and Catrina McCollum; and her nieces and nephews, Angie Isaacs, Nancy Powell, Deliah Smith, Rebecca Powell, Aaron Powell, Gary Daniel Elam and J. C. Powell. She is also survived by other extended family and friends.
