He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ellen Murphy Thomas; and his sister Dottie Stipes. He is survived by: his children, Bert Thomas (Lori) of Richmond, Laura Fritz (Delbert) of Richmond, Mary Carole Tate (Chad) of Richmond and Kathy Cornett (Chris) of Stanton, KY; his siblings, Bobby Thomas (Victoria), Pat Thomas (Kathy), Martha Dumas (Dale) and Peggy Dunagan (Daryl); his sister-in-law Betsy Burch; his grandchildren, Logan Bicknell, McKenzie Bicknell, Matthew Wade, Braden Thomas, Flynn Cornett, Micah Johnston and Zane Cornett; and his pet Solo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Compassionate Care Center, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond, KY 40475.
