She was predeceased by: her husband Edgar Short; her parents, Samuel Lincoln and Betty Jane Creech York; her children, Randy Short and Carolyn Young; and her siblings, James G. York, Willie York, Paul H. York, Oscar York, Hugh York, Leonard York, Helen McGuire and Emma Jane Mosely.
She is survived by: her children, Billy Short (Teresa) of Berea, KY, Tommy Short (Vickie) of Waco, KY, Peggy Clements (Stephen) of Berea, KY, Angie Brandenburg (Rick) of Lexington, KY and Lisa Spivey (Preston Bolen) of Richmond, KY; her son-in-law Deanie Young; and her brother Robert "Bud" York of Richmond, KY. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
