He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Kirby and Mary Etta Davis Kirby; and his brothers, Sam Kirby, Jr. and Harold Kirby. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Phelps Kirby; his children, Butch Kirby (Janie) of Union City and Ann Marie Kirby of Union City; his friend A. J. Tipton; his grandsons, Samuel Kirby (Morgan) and Brandon Kirby (Nikki); his great grandchildren, Zack Kirby, Cassie Kirby, Leland Kirby and Lillie Kirby; and his siblings, Libby Tipton of Richmond, Susie Tussey of Richmond, Dallas Kirby of Boise and Bill Kirby of Richmond. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
