He is survived by: his wife Jean Simpson Smith of Roark, KY; his children, David Smith (Cheryl) of Essie, KY, Charles Smith (Barbara), Donavon Nantz, Susan Rice (Timothy) of Horse Branch, KY and Alice Bowling of Thousandsticks, KY; his stepchildren, Sandy Williams, Lige, Victor Nantz, Michael and Bridgett Nantz; and his siblings, Corbel Lee Smith (Romaine) of Asher, KY, Fred Smith (Cathy) of Manchester, KY, Kenneth Smith, Annie Smith and Marie Smith. He is also survived by grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren.
