He was predeceased by : his parents, Grover Frank and Ruth Evelyn Chandler Cleveland; his brother John F. "Johnny" Cleveland; his stepson Shane Breedlove; and his grandsons, Chase Hardrick and Dylan Cleveland.

He is survived by : his wife Carole Waggener Cleveland; his children, Lita Carol Cleveland of Henderson, Kentucky, Paula Sue Cleveland of Henderson, Kentucky and David "Frankie" Cleveland of Henderson, Kentucky; his stepson Craig Breedlove (Dusti) of Henderson, Kentucky; his sisters, Donna Cleveland Forrester of Henderson, Kentucky and Sue Cleveland Myers (Clem) of Henderson, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Beau David Cleveland (Ashley), Dawn Cleveland, Ashley Matthews, Nick Hardrick, Mitchell Hardrick (Erica), Jessica Hardrick, Kelsey White (Brandon), Kendal Breedlove, Jason Breedlove, Hailey Breedlove Snow, Gavin Breedlove, Abbigayle Breedlove, Bailey Brashear (Renn) and Trevor Owens. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
