It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Popplewell Osborne of Russell Springs, Kentucky, who passed away on November 16, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Willie and Bessie Coffey Smith; her former life partner Desoto Popplewell, Jr.; her son David Popplewell; and her siblings, Frances Dunbar, Manice Smith Wilson, Curtis, Carmel "Bill" and Curvan "Buster" Smith.

She is survived by : her husband Willard Osborne; her children, Jerald Popplewell (Marisa), Sondra Valentine and Lila Cooper (Johnny); her grandchildren, Bradley Cooper (Marina), Jessica Popplewell-Bumm (Eric), Jared Popplewell (Leslie), Scarlett Devine (Carl), Melissa Cooper, Israel Burton (Shelby), Derek Popplewell (Ariel), Mailee Cooper and Chase Cooper; and her close friend Don Stamper. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
