He was predeceased by: his parents, Morrison Pete and Cora Bell Hightower Wilkins; and his daughter Sherry Cole. He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Wilkins of Russellville; and his son Ernest "Ernie" Wilkins Jr. of Russellville. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Latham Funeral Home (413 E Main St, Elkton, KY 42220). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family asks that donations be given to the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ.
