It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Jo Arnett Lykins of Salyersville, Kentucky, who passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Woodroe Arnett and Versie Howard Arnett; her husband J. T. Lykins; her daughter Jaietta Lykins; her brothers, Bobby Earl Arnett, W. B. "Dubb" Arnett and Woodroe Edison Arnett; and her sister-in-law Nancy Allen Arnett.

She is survived by : her children, Jeffory Lykins of Salyersville, Ralph Jay Lykins (Annette), John Timothy Lykins (Sandi) of Salyersville, Nola Anne Johnson (Wayne) of Salyersville, Sally Minix (Marty) of Salyersville and Licia Lykins of Salyersville; her siblings, H. C. Arnett of Orlando, Vicki Lou Ragins of Fort Lauderdale, Patti Smalley (George) of Dalton and Susie Hoskins (James) of Nancy; her niece Melanie Arnett Cain; her grandchildren, Holly Johnson Cummings (Gregory), Joshua Minix (Lorna), Jessica Dawn Lykins, Zachariah Donta, Megan Lyons (David), John Tyler Lykins (Caroline), Madison Claire Ratliff (Justin), Josey Lykins, Grace Bailey and Jase Brady Lykins; and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Riley Cate, Mila Reece, Chandler Rose, Demi Raine, Millie Jaymes, Baxter, Arabelle Jaye, Cain, Willa Jude, Naomi, Tristan, Conner, Shepherd and Forrest.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel (900 Parkway Dr, Salyersville, KY 41465).

In lieu of flowers, family has requested contributions can be made to the Magoffin County Library Children's Literacy Fund.
