She was predeceased by : her parents, Richard Hunley and Versie Howard Hunley; her husband James Gibbs; and her siblings, Bobby J. Hunley, Ricky Hunley, Margaret Hunley, Edna Fay Hunley and Joyce Ann McCarty.

She is survived by : her brothers, Mitchell Hunley of Salyersville and Billy Hunley of Salyersville; her nephew David McCarty; her great-niece Chloe McCarty; her uncle Carl Howard; her aunt Maggie McDowell; and her sister-in-law Betty Lou Hunley.
