She is survived by : her parents, Harold Lloyd and Sandra Jean West-Kelley; her children, Chad Thompson of Georgetown, KY and Maranda Dawn Crockett (Paul) of Salyersville; her grandchildren, David Lakota Crockett and Amari Rayne Crockett; her siblings, Vonda Griffith (Paul) of Webbville, Harold L. Kelley II (Sabrina) of Kingsport, TN and Derick Kelley of Rush; and her close friend Sue Keaton (Donnie) of Morgan County.

Melinda had a passion for charity work, having volunteered in many food pantries as well as clothing drives.
