It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clessie Rondall Claiborne of Scottsville, Kentucky, who passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Newton Claiborne, Sr. and Zora Lamon Snider Claiborne; his wife Nina Raye Calvert Claiborne; and his siblings, Estelle Claiborne Driver, Harvey, Jr., Charlie, Leslie, Domie, Genie Ray, Duel, Earl and Jim Claiborne.
He is survived by: his children, Rondall Scott Claiborne of Scottsville, KY, Vickie Phillips (Doug) of Scottsville, KY and Christal Claiborne Atwood (Wesley) of Scottsville, KY; his sister-in-law Sue Claiborne of Hendersonville, TN; his grandchildren, Derrick Pearson (April), Kyle Pearson (Jacquline), Bailey Brown and Atley Atwood (A. J.); his great grandchildren, Kylie Rae Pearson, Kendallyn Pearson (Xander), Johnny Pearson and Slade Riggs; and his great great grandchildren, Selma Eaton, Keanu Kitchens, Presley, Nacona, Bre, Brayden, Payton, Jackson and Timmy. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Goad Funeral Home (215 W Main St, Scottsville, KY 42164). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
