He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles David Vandiver and Ruby Mae Hamilton Vandiver; and his siblings, Wanda Naylor, John, Bobby, Carl, Jimmy, Richard and Gary Vandiver.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Beauchamp Vandiver of Scottsville, KY; his children, Jeffrey A. Vandiver of Scottsville, KY and Joan Yates (Tim) of Portland, TN; his sisters, Laura Holzlander of Rochelle, IL and Lillian Bradford of Rochelle, IL; his grandchildren, Jason Vandiver (Becky), Joshua Vandiver (Madison) of Scottsville, KY and Heather Kirkham (Brad) of Portland, TN; his great grandchildren, Devon, Owen, Allison Vandiver, Daniel, Noah and Hadley Jo Kirkham; his stepgranddaughter Sabrian Cowan (Casey) of Kyle, TX; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Marlee Cowan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Goad Funeral Home (215 W Main St, Scottsville, KY 42164). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
