He was predeceased by : his parents, George Olsen and Sarah Segar Olsen; his daughter Susan Olsen; and his brothers, George Olsen, Jr. and Howard Olsen.
He is survived by : his wife Patricia Olsen; his children, Elizabeth Olsen, Janice Ferber (Ronald), Russell Olsen (Pattie), Melvin Olsen, Jr. (Robin) and Raymond Olsen (Jennifer); and his siblings, Helen Hanslmaier (Charles), Marion Baker and Herbert Olsen (Donna). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
