He was predeceased by : his sons, Robert Earl Tapp and James Ronnie Tapp; and his siblings, Peggy Bryant, Virginia Tapp and David Tapp.

He is survived by : his daughter Jennifer Williams (Mason); his grandchildren, Madison Williams and Brian Moore; and his siblings, Mary Wade, Lola Rose, Bill Tapp (Charlene), Leroy Tapp (Jenny) and Gary Tapp. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
