He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Pierce and Margaret Jane Cranmer Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Brooks Stewart of Shelbyville; his daughter Jennifer Lynn Mathis of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Caitlin Green (Chris) of Frankfort, Casey Devary (Shane) of Finchville and Carter Stewart (Tara) of Shelbyville; and his sisters, Betty Lisby of Shelbyville and Carol Shouse of Waddy. He is also survived by his seven great-grandchildren; and his one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville Thursday (1185 West Main Street Shelbyville, KY 40065). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville Friday (1185 West Main Street Shelbyville, KY 40065).
