It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Farris of Shelbyville, Kentucky, who passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie B. Harris Allen and James J. Allen; her husband Carl Ray Farris; her children, Kathy Yvonne Allen, Hallie Anne Allen Farris and James Farris; her stepdaughter Tanaishia Denay "Nay" Hinkle; her siblings, Margaret Jane Thomas Brown and Stanley Ford; and her brothers-in-law, James "Bum" Dale and James R. "Junie" Farris, Jr..
She is survived by: her siblings, Theresa L. Cook of Shelbyville, Bobby Foree (Maria) of Shelbyville and Ricky Evans of Shelbyville; her grandchildren, MaKauri K'von Allen, Raphael Farris, Marselia Mendez Lopez Farris and Adelaydo Mendez Lopez Farris; and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Farris, Roxanna Farris of Louisville, Mary Etta Watts (Billy Joe) of Shelbyville, Conswella "Connie" Farris of Shelbyville and Leon Farris of Shelbyville. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery. A burial was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Calvary Cemetery N. Seventh.
