He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Beeler and Stella Hornback Beeler. He is survived by: his wife Carol Vernon Beeler; his children, Allen Slaughter (Dee), Debbie Lewis, Chris Slaughter, Gina Carnell (Tommy) and Lori Harvey (Billy); and his grandchildren, Mat Carnell, Nikki Barnett, Kelly Baldwin, William Lewis Jr., Josh Slaughter, Missy Agundez, Cassie Slaughter, Carissa Slaughter and Christopher Slaughter. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home (7710 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40258).
